The museum is located on the corner of Grey and Melbourne Streets, within the South Bank Cultural Precinct.
Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators is located on Level 3 of the museum.
|Brisbane Metro early works have begun around the Cultural Precinct. Check their website for any construction or travel impacts before you visit.
The museum is in TransLink zone 1 within walking distance of:
- South Brisbane railway station
- Cultural Centre Busway station
- South Bank CityCat and Ferry terminals.

The museum is a short walk across the river from the Brisbane CBD.
You can enter the museum via Level 2 and exit via the gift store.

There is a public car park directly below the museum. Rate: $17 per entry/per day.
Cash or Credit Cards (Visa & MasterCard) only, no EFTPOS or cash available. Entry via Cultural Centre Tunnel, Stanley Street.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee a car space will be available. The morning sessions are the most popular and the carpark often fills quickly.
Alternative parking is available at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Visa, MasterCard and cash are accepted at exit booths, or Fast Pay Fast Exit using credit card on entry and exit.
